Last year, I became a romper convert and I can’t wait to add to my collection this spring. Forever 21 has an awesome collection right now and they are all very affordable. (Yey!)

One of the reasons I love rompers is their versatility. You can wear them with sandals for a casual look, heels for a dressier look, or even over a swimsuit as a cover up.

  1. I LOVE the first one! I bought one last summer but I got it online and the fit was a bit weird, so I didn’t really wear it much at all!
I also love the fourth one (: I think I’d probably be more likely to wear that one haha, but I hate showing off my thighs! So the longer one is definitely my favourite haha

  2. I LOVED the first one too until it came in the mail and I put it on. Oh gracious. The pic has the model at an angle that hides the HUMPTY-DUMPTY look of this BILLOWING SACK.

The trouble is the harem pants. Having the crotch at your knees makes you look like a clown for the D & G Fashion Rodeo. I have always hated harem pants; they are *universally* unflattering, evidently so much so that when taking the promotional photo for the romper above, the model is cleverly hiding the “harem” part in a ladylike sideways stance.

Like you both, I was enchanted by the cute pic showcasing the floral chiffon, the smocked bust, and my favorite trend of all time, pockets. The description mentioned harem-style but it looked fine in the pic, so it must be ok, right?

It’s so very not cute in the cold, cruel powder blue blur of your room reflected behind you in the mirror. Beware pics: read the description! What a lesson I never expected to learn.

A not-dirt-cheap lesson, too, because I haven’t gotten around to returning it yet. Dash it, F21, free returns would only boost your crazy high sales volume anyways. Urban Outfitters does it, but while they carry pricier notions, F21 must make more money, quarter after quarter! Their prices go up but their quality remains cheap. Profit margins? They have them.

So yes, The First One will likely languish in my closet until I hurriedly stuff it into a box for donations, trying to see it as evidence of my largesse, not laziness. I *am* willing to sell it!

In fact, the whole way I stumbled over here is because I am searching for an official pic to use to sell this thing on EBay. But I’ll be sure to be 100% clear on just how übertrendy this romper really is.

  3. haha. oh no! That first one looks sooo cute too. 🙁 Did you try belting it or something to give it some shape at the waist?
