I picked up this Juicy Couture and navy tweed fabric in the remnants section for $3 a yard. Since I’m on spring break, I’m going to whip up something in the next few days, and I’ll be sure to share it when I’m done.

I wanted a really long scarf so I picked up 3 yard of the fabric. First I cut it in half long ways (so really you can make two scarves – one for you and one for a friend!). Then fold it in half with the pattern on the inside, and pin the long side together.

Next sew the long side together. Then pin and sew one of the short sides.

Once you have three sides sewn up, turn the whole thing right side out.  This is where I ran into a problem…how to sew up that fourth side? First I sewed the last side together.

Then I folded the sewn seem in between two folds.

The best way I can describe it is two “lips” of fabric from the sides with the sewn seam as the tongue.

Lastly, hand sew the two “lips” together. (If you have a better way of sewing up this last side, please share!)

And, there you have it. Your very own Juicy scarf for about $5!

As you can see, it is loved by humans and puppies alike.
