<p><span id="more-3896"></span>Guess what? The other day I was searching <a href="http://www.vogue.com.au/">Vogue.com.au</a> and stumbled across an interview with a <strong>real</strong> girl who enjoys reading and doing <strong>normal</strong> stuff, apart from the GUCCI modeling.</p>
<div id="attachment_4005" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 354px"><a href="http://prommafia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/abbey-lee-kershaw.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-4005" title="abbey-lee-kershaw" src="http://prommafia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/abbey-lee-kershaw.jpg" alt="From nymag.com" width="344" height="448" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">From nymag.com</p></div>
<p>This 22 year old’s name is Abbey Lee Kershaw and she was just a normal girl from Australia who won a model competition in the Australian teen mag <a href="http://au.youth.yahoo.com/girlfriend/" target="_blank">Girlfriend</a>.  She is now world famous, but in this <a href="http://www.vogue.com.au/fashion/models/abbey+lee,1" target="_blank">interview</a> she seems pretty down to earth.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><em>What are your style secrets?</em></strong><em><br />
“I love secondhand stores. I see potential in everything. It’s about opening your mind to what you can do to the garment: because they’re cheap, you can cut them or stitch them and if you stuff it up, it’s fine, it’s only two dollars. My favourite outfit was this black lace dress that I found in a vintage shop in Williamsburg, New York.”</em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><em>What is your favourite label?</em></strong><strong><em><br />
</em></strong><em>“Gucci. So beautifully made and awesome to wear. I love the suits and jackets.”</em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><em>Do you have any hobbies?</em></strong><strong><em><br />
</em></strong><em>“I write a lot – everything, poems, music- so I always have my Moleskine journal and a pen with me, and I read a lot.”</em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><em>What do you consider to be the best part of your job?</em></strong><em><br />
“That I get to be someone else, I get to create a character. I’ve thought about acting but I think it would take a big toll on your personal life. After </em><em>modeling</em><em> I’d like to study therapy: I love art and psychology, so it’s a good mix and it’s such a broad area, you can even work in prisons.”</em></p>
<p>And what’s more? She is ranked equal 13th on the “model ladder” according to <a href="http://www.models.com">Models.com</a>, plus she’s gorgeous!!<br />
