According to Elle, prints may also appear on draped clothing items, such as draped rompers and dresses inspired by Burberry and Emilio Pucci. A season ago, a fashionista may have envisioned a romper as the perfect prison jumpsuit or a model in a draped dress as a person in a shower curtain, but this time they will be not only fun but also fashionable to wear all spring.

Furthermore, graphic tees will allow guys and girls to express themselves casually without breaking the bank. The Skinny featured graphic tees in their Valentine’s Day “Graphic Romance” photo shoot, calling the graphic shirt “anything but dull.” In their photo shoot, Forever 21 pairs graphic shirts with a fairy tale-esque pink mesh skirts, a fashion trend that appeared in last fall’s H&M Magazine.

Spring will be the time to pump up the volume, ladies. Stay away from flat and lifeless hairstyles. On an Elle poll, readers agreed that Drew Barrymore’s dead hair she wore to the Golden Globe Awards wasn’t as impressive as the sky-high bouffant Beyonce wore to the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Elle readers also voted for Sandra Bullock’s loose, sideswept bun that she wore to the Golden Globes over the textured and pulled-back hair she sported at the SAGs.

Redheads of both genders, embrace the hair. Red hot locks like those from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 show and Coco Rocha for Vogue will be as hot as their color for the year. Recommended hairstyles for both redheads and non redheads, according to Elle, are braids like Lauren Conrad’s and loose buns, such as that one that Sandra Bullock wore to the Golden Globe Awards. According to Fashionising, 1960s hairstyles will make a rebound, igniting a pin-up girl hair frenzy. Girls, it is time to kick old school again and pull out those hot rollers; there will be no curling irons this time around. As for those who cut their hair to a bob last year, fret not. Elle reports that outgrown bobs will also be in style for the spring season.

Finally, turquoise is officially the color of 2010, and not without reason. According to Pantone, the company chose turquoise as the color of the year for evoking its “soothing, tropical waters and a languorous, effective escape from everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of well being.” Turquoise already appeared in the Proenza Schoulder Spring 2010 collection, as well as the Jason Wu’s 2010 shirts, dresses and harem pants.

Details of Internship: ELLE magazine is seeking an enthusiastic college student to be their summer Creative Services/Design Intern (NY Office)! The intern will assist the creative team on various projects throughout the summer.  Responsibilities include aiding in photo research for In Book Ads, silhouetting and scanning images for comps, designing Evites, updating existing sell sheet templates and organizing the image library. The intern will have the opportunity to learn how a creative services department is run and will participate in departmental meetings. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in design, is proficient with cutting and mounting skills and is able to put together clean and professional comps.  Intermediate InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills are preferred.  We are seeking an intern that is available at least 3 days a week starting ASAP through August 14th. Obviously, most fashion internships are in places like New York, LA, and Paris, but if you aren’t in one of those cities, don’t give up. There are other ways to gain experience in fashion:

• Start your own fashion line on etsy
• Go to fashion school
