Mafiettes, today was an absolutely horrible day. While taking photos of a springtime outfit down at the cherry blossom festival, my tripod fell over, broke, and my camera fell in the lake. Little bubbles even rose to the top as it sunk in the murky water.

Mafiettes, it is gone. Forever.

So until I can afford to get another camera, you will have to rely on my drawing skills.

Oh, wait. I don’t have any drawing skills! Guess I have to work extra hard to get a new camera, pronto. I’m a believer in everything happens for a reason so I’ll have to wait and see what that reason is!

I recently discovered that I live right by a local thrift shop run by the National Alliance on Mental Health.  Being a gal with a budget, I decided to check it out and I made some good finds and great prices!

Most people don’t know this, but expos and showcases are a great resource for deals, discounts, and freebies.  This past Saturday, the DC Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Expo took place smack in the middle of midtown.

Yesterday, I was front and center at the Betsey Johnson fashion show in DC! She is my all time favorite designer, and this collection was fun and fabulous. Along with her usual ruffles and bows, Betsey decided to punk it up with skulls and sequins this time around.
