The Evolution of Color Block Style

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

I’ve been reading around the fashion mags that there is a “new” trend: color block style.  How can this style be new when it has been around for almost a century!  If you don’t know what color block is, it’s when you have a piece with huge geometric sections of one or several colors. Style Files: Alison Brie

Monday, July 18th, 2011

I have the biggest girl crush on Alison Brie. Some of you ladies may know her as Trudy Campbell from the AMC series Mad Men. Lucy in Disguise

Monday, July 11th, 2011

I have always been a big fan of Lily Allen’s music and style, but I have only recently discovered her fashion boutique Lucy in Disguise.   Started with her sister, it’s a haven for vintage lovers and is filled with gorgeous party dresses, accessories, and other fun finds from every era. The girls recently launched their own collection of vintage inspired clothing to complement the vintage gems in their boutique and I think they really hit the mark.

My Work

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

As you know, I have a part time job doing the marketing for a local consignment shop. Let me tell you, it has been tough! I’m surrounded by great thrift finds and I have to constantly resist the urge to buy it all! :)

I recently set up their Etsy store where they sell vintage jewelry and other little trinkets. I thought I’d share some of my temptations:

Best Online Vintage

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

There are tons of vintage shops online, but I’m always hesitant to buy based on crummy images of clothes on hangers.  I thought you girls might have the same problem so I’ve compiled a little list of great vintage shopping sites.

Nasty Gal

Gorgeous gorgeous vintage at Nasty Gal. Pricy, but you get what you pay for. Aren’t you in love with this Givenchy blouse?
