I was recently given the opportunity to interview Sinead Kasch, the David’s Bridal Style Council Prom Expert, to get all the insider info for you girls as you prep for prom.  Here’s what she had to say:

PM: Hello Sinead. Thank you for taking a moment to talk with Prom Mafia! It must be so fun to get to think about prom all year long. Can you tell me when and how you start identifying the next year’s styles?

SK: It is so exciting to work on latest prom trends! We are always looking for the next big trend in prom. A lot of our inspiration comes from the fashion runways, especially color and embellishment details. We also look to the red carpet and celebrities that inspire us; we are especially fond of Selena Gomez.

The 2011 color of the year, as selected by Pantone, is Honeysuckle – a lovely shade of pink.  The color lifts spirits and imparts confidence to meet life’s ongoing challenges.  Sounds like the perfect selection for my life right now with graduation, job interviews, and the whole lot approaching.

It’s a wonderful color for fashion too. After all, what you wear makes you feel a certain way and has an impression on others. Wouldn’t you love to look and feel confident and uplifting? Sounds nice.
