Olive Another Coat, Please

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

I was volunteering at the local Humane Society the other day and, while walking a particularly energetic pup, got into a tug of war with my jacket. Unfortunately, the jacket didn’t make it. With temperatures dropping faster than  LiLo’s self-respect, I’ve got to get another one asap.

[Tangent - there is the CUTEST long hair chihuahua at the Boise location right now. She must have just arrived because she isn't on their website yet. I don't know her name, but she's black and white and super friendly. Loves tummy rubs. She's very skinny and needs lots of food and lots of love. Go adopt her!]

For coats, olive green is a great option because it matches well with blacks and browns. And while I’d love a closet full of coats to match all my outfits, that ain’t gonna happen.

Cold Weather Cover Ups

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

I don’t know about your area, but it’s starting to get chilly over here! It’s almost time to rummage through my storage for my winter coats.  When I moved to the East Coast from California, I hated big winter coats because they completely cover up your outfit. But I’ve since learned that you can find adorable coats that complement your look. No need to go with simple brown or black!

If you’re in the market for a cute winter coat, here are some fun finds from Lulus.

Wish I Was Wearing: Suede Jacket

Saturday, September 3rd, 2011

Ladies, ladies, ladies. I found this fabulous (faux) suede jacket from Forever 21 for only $30! That’s the cost of a movie date: 2 tickets and some popcorn. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have the jacket! ;)

All Saints

Monday, May 9th, 2011

I spent the weekend in New York City and discovered All Saints while walking around Soho.  Oh my god, I’m obsessed! Seriously, I would happily get a job there and get paid in store credit. Their clothes are rough and gritty, but balanced with gorgeous beadwork and buttery soft leather to give it an overall chic appeal.

Take a look at these clothes and tell me you don’t love them!

Stars and Stripes

Friday, January 14th, 2011

Here is the last of my 2010 Christmas gifts to share with you gals -my moto jacket from Mod Cloth courtesy of my wonderful guy who picked it out all by himself! That’s how I know we are soulmates. :)

I tried and tried, but couldn’t get any more good pictures because of the weather here in DC. It was just too cold and windy!

What was your favorite Christmas gift?
