Tea for Two

On a recent trip to NYC, I stopped by Tea & Sympathy for some authentic British tea and have been craving it ever since! Now that I’m moving (right now!) to the West coast, I probably won’t ever get to go back. If anyone stops by Tea & Sympathy, please pick up some cinnamon tea for me and also some of their shepherd’s pie! Yummm.  ;) So here are some tea inspired finds for you.

Shabby Chic Freak

Yes, this is a fashion blog, but home design is merely an extension of your fashion sense beyond your body to your surroundings.  Some people love casual, some love modern, but me, I love shabby chic. Lucky for me, this past weekend was the Lucketts Store Spring Market where tons of local vendors set up shop and sold vintage, reclaimed, and upcycled furnishings.  Armed with my walking shoes, hydration, and Topshop bow, I did some serious shopping!

Shoe Storage Solutions

After I graduate in a couple weeks (ahhh!), the next big step is to buy a house.  So whenever I’m not studying, I’m thinking of what my dream home will look like. I’ve been mentally designing my closet, and of course I want it to look like one of those amazing celebrity closets.

They pay big bucks for contractors and designers to create these amazing rooms, but I think us regular folks can replicate them with some clever finds. For example, you can achieve Christina Agulara’s wall of shoes by adding a couple of these Billy bookcases from Ikea. They have adjustable shelves so you can fit tall boots, heels, and flats.
