I recently saw a fabulous orange tote carried by Leighton Meester’s character on the Gossip Girl set and instantly fell in love. Citrus from head to toe is difficult to pull off so elegantly, but Leighton definitely succeeds.

Rachel Zoe came out with a fabulous fall collection that is very chic and very expensive. Would you expect anything less from Ms. Zoe? Of course not! Lucky for you, I’ve found some similar looks for much much less.
Sorry Rachel, we all can’t afford to spend a couple hundred on a cardigan!
It’s on, ladies! Nordstrom, the king of sales, has way too many finds in their Anniversary Sale to include in a single post. Somehow, I’ve narrowed it down to these few items that go beyond want into the “need” category. My excuse: I could wear them to work (once I finally land a job, that is! Anyone hiring? Here’s my portfolio.)

One of the few things I truly miss since my move last month to Boise is Nordstrom. There is no Nordstrom in the WHOLE state of Idaho. I think the closest one is in Oregon. Sigh. But just because I have to miss out on the fun of running into the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale at 7am with elbows thrashing in order to get all the goodies doesn’t mean you have to!
For major sales like this one, you best be prepared. Scope out the layout of the store, check out the sale preview catalog online, and wear comfortable shoes for some serious shopping!
