If you were trapped on a desert island and could only bring one book, you should bring one by David Mitchell. Number9Dream, like his other books, Cloud Atlas (my favorite book of all time) and Black Swan Green, does not end once you finish reading it. Its characters, story, and themes will stay with you for the rest of your life.
