I learned this little Christmas recipe in 5th grade. It is great fun, and has a very satisfying result (as long as you make the wreath as thick as possible).

WARNING: lots of material needed. Try and use Christmas colors, but other color schemes work just as well e.g. Black and white. Also using floral and patterned materials add a nice contrast and eye catching Christmas decoration, just make sure the colors don’t clash!

1. Find around 5-10 different materials and cut them into thin strips, about 2.5cm wide and 15 cm long

2. Bend a metal coat hanger so that it creates a circle (or as close to a circle as possible)

3. Tie the strips around the circle of the coat hanger with a typical double knot, trying to make both sides of the knot equal length

4. When you think you have tied enough, think again! Put your hands on either side of the coat hangers hook and try to push all the material downwards, you will find a huge gap, with no material. Start tying again!

5. Once you know you have finished tying, start trimming your wreath like a hedge, evening it out nicely. Try not to trim it too short or else all the ‘fluffiness’ will be gone.

6. Now you can add the final touches, I wrapped thin tinsel around the hook, but a nice red bow would work just as nicely

Tada! A last-minute made, beautiful Christmas wreath!

Mine ended up looking like this (sorry about the horrible photography, it was taken on my phone!) and i get heaps of compliments on it when people come into the house!

From nymag.com

Guess what? The other day I was searching Vogue.com.au and stumbled across an interview with a real girl who enjoys reading and doing normal stuff, apart from the GUCCI modeling.

From nymag.com

This 22 year old’s name is Abbey Lee Kershaw and she was just a normal girl from Australia who won a model competition in the Australian teen mag Girlfriend. She is now world famous, but in this interview she seems pretty down to earth.

What are your style secrets?
“I love secondhand stores. I see potential in everything. It’s about opening your mind to what you can do to the garment: because they’re cheap, you can cut them or stitch them and if you stuff it up, it’s fine, it’s only two dollars. My favourite outfit was this black lace dress that I found in a vintage shop in Williamsburg, New York.”

What is your favourite label?
“Gucci. So beautifully made and awesome to wear. I love the suits and jackets.”

Do you have any hobbies?
“I write a lot – everything, poems, music- so I always have my Moleskine journal and a pen with me, and I read a lot.”

What do you consider to be the best part of your job?
“That I get to be someone else, I get to create a character. I’ve thought about acting but I think it would take a big toll on your personal life. After modeling I’d like to study therapy: I love art and psychology, so it’s a good mix and it’s such a broad area, you can even work in prisons.”

And what’s more? She is ranked equal 13th on the “model ladder” according to Models.com, plus she’s gorgeous!!

Hang on a minute, who was is that said printed tees were soo 6th grade? Cos I’m pretty sure it was NOT me. I mean I live for cute printed tees! Especially the baggy ones with French words on them!

From ilovewildfox.blogspot.com

Okay, I’m sorry if I haven’t convinced you. I totally recommend you resort to the last resort (if you get my drift) which is to get some STYLISH cute printed tees, or singlets, and pair them with dark denim jeans and boots…maybe even a skirt…and voila! “OMG I love that top on you! I mean the whole outfit is just…breathtaking! ” is the only compliment you’ll be getting all day!

From ilovewildfox.blogspot.com

The first lot of pictures are from I Love Wildfox and golly gosh! Those girls may as well be standing in the streets of NY lighting up the night, being that they are skinny as light poles. But seriously, the tee shirts, ah…love!

From delias.com

.

From delias.com

This second lot is from Delias and I love them!

Oh, for winter? Add a jacket and some big sunnies (yes I do realize I said sunnies in winter) and you have a date with the perfect outfit.

From thegrandsocial.com.au

This picture is from The Grand Social and I absolutely love the skirt with the top. I mean, possibly the cutest thing ever.

So go out there and buy some adorable tees- tight, loose, colourful or dark, and you’ll definitely be the envy of all your friends!

Hello all you Mafiettes out there, I’m a thirteen year old girl from Australia and I am going to be helping out with the posts at Prom Mafia!

I’ll be known as Vintage Rose. Yeah, I love vintage things, collecting silk scarves, and darling little purses, why? Well I love finding things that no one else has, things that are special and unique, and make me who I am.

Although, what I really love is quality clothes for a quality price, and of course creating my own fashion and style. I also enjoy collecting little vintage things and making them into my own special creation, such as creating a handbag out of a skirt. (Don’t you worry, I’ll make a post about how to do it!)

Until next time ladies,
