The New Girl: Fashion Recap

She wears hipster glasses, sings her own theme songs, and makes Lord of the Rings jokes. She’s Zooey Deschanel’s new adorable character Jess. Who couldn’t love her (“her” being both Zooey and Jess)? If you don’t, I’m sorry. We can’t be friends anymore. But, I’m not here to give you a simple episode recap – you can get a great one over at Hello Giggles. We’re going to talk about fashion, of course! And moon over Jess’s sweet sense of style.

I have to admit, I didn’t actually watch the Emmys last night. I’m more into snooping the web for the red carpet fashion and just scanning the winners lists the next day. Cheater, I know, but the fashion is what I care about. What can I say?

Speaking of which, didn’t you just love Lea Michele’s (aka Rachel Berry from Glee) capped sleeve red gown? The high neck and rosette details on the sleeves were so chic and sophisticated.

I’m back from all my trips to California and boy did I have fun! My favorite part was definitely my visit to Daisy Shoppe in Southern California. If Betsey Johnson had a little sister, she would be called Daisy Shoppe. They carry Betsey inspired dresses in the $100 – $150 range as opposed to the $300 – $400 range.
