Two Timer Skirt

April 17th, 2010 | Posted by

I had a hole in my wardrobe: no everyday black skirt. I do have a fancy shmancy black skirt, but it’s not something you wear in the daytime.  So, I busted out my Bernina and got to work.

I needed something casual that I could pair with a tee.  To complete the look, I added my Target belt and Steve Madden heels.

I wanted something other than a plain skirt so I added some ruffled tulle to the bottom and a tulip wrap that is removable.

This way, I get two looks in one!

I’m also playing around with some shirt designs. What do you think of this one? I don’t think I’ve got it quite right yet.

How about a different T-shirt style that is a little less generic? I also really like your pink and black colors. The grey is not really representative of your style. And finally, you need a crown on it for all us queens and princesses.

Yeah, I’m no good at graphic design. Perhaps I should just leave that up to an expert!

    Lovely Skirt! (:

& I agree, a Prom Mafia shirt definitely needs a bit more glamour and sparkle!

  5. Gorgeous skirt! And I love the tshirt! I think it’s amazing haha but the crown idea could work as well – it is like our logo I guess C:

I stumbled on your site…and I love love love this black skirt.

Do you sell some of your designs?

  7. Queen Bee says:

Thank you Melissa! I don’t sell anything I make because I’m actually a terrible seamstress. haha. They look nice in the pictures but if you were to look at the quality of the stitching close up, you wouldn’t want it. Trust me! Anyway, I couldn’t guarantee that they would last after a few times in the wash so I couldn’t in good conscience take any money for them. Thanks though!!! <3
