Mafiettes, I have lived every Betseyite’s dream.  Today, I met Betsey Johnson! That was the secret I couldn’t tell you until now.

Have you ever heard the advice that you shouldn’t meet your hero because you’ll be disappointed? Definitely not true! Betsey is a total sweetheart and I adore her even more after today. She was so friendly and even took the time to chat with us and answer our questions.  During the impromptu q & a, she expressed an interest in creating an affordable line with a store like H&M or Target, advised us budding fashion designers to practice cutting and sewing, and even mentioned that she is hiring designers!

And of course she looked fabulous.

The store threw an Alice in Wonderland party for the event, filled with costumes and cookies.

If Betsey had her own themepark, I imagine it would be like this!

Since I arrived at 9 am (about 3 hours early), I was in the front of the line and was lucky enough to get a picture and an autograph.

And here is my autographed shirt.

I told Betsey about my site and I’m sure she has better things to do, but just in case “Hi Betsey!”
