A Charming Charm Bracelet

March 5th, 2010 | Posted by Art Decadence

Okay so everyone knows I am guilty of two things: browsing any and every shopping website and a huge love for David Bowie. (Alright, I admit, I do have more guilty pleasures than that – but they’re currently irrelevant.) This love also includes the film Labyrinth – I’m guessing a lot of you have probably seen it! It’s very magical and I don’t see how any can not fall in love with it.

When I was browsing Etsy the other day (something I’m sure will make Queen Bee proud of me) I typed in ‘Labyrinth’ to see what would come up. I was absolutely astounded. There’s so many amazing things, but I’m not going to tell you about all of them! My favourite was this charm bracelet:

The only problem was, it was $45.95 plus $5.00 postage seeing as I live all the way across the  pond. I did debate over quite a few days but I came into a bit of money in the form of my EMA bonus (for going to school – google it if you’re really that curious) and found that I just couldn’t resist.

Considering the distance it had to travel, it arrived incredibly quickly and it looks so gorgeous in person – even more so than the pictures. A few people have already told me how amazing they think it looks and I’ve only worn it once!

The image charms are handmade and every charm on it was put there due to some sort of meaning – the owl, the dancing figures. And the fun doesn’t stop there – the seller, ImaginationEmporium has a load of other, similar products.

For example, this a-may-zing Wizard of Oz bracelet:

Or, a wonderfully magical “It’s A Small World” glass tile pendant:

I think everything she makes is absolutely incredible; how about you guys? Do you think I was right in spending so much money on my bracelet? (I do!)

Thank you so much for the highlight and I’m so glad you’re enjoying your bracelet. Labyrinth is one of my favorites as well. I remember wearing that VHS tape out as a kid!
