Valentine’s Day Gifts

February 3rd, 2010 | Posted by Queen Bee

Valentine’s Day isn’t a real holiday and I don’t believe you should exchange big expensive gifts. Especially when you’re a student and you don’t have a lot of moolah to spend anyway.  However cliche this sounds, I think Valentine’s Day is about showing the person you care, and it truly is the thought that counts.

For you boys out there, here are some gift suggestions:

1. Flowers

I know I said no to flowers for Christmas, but that’s because I think they are a Valentine’s Day gift. Don’t be scared to get creative and choose a non-rose bouquet. To be honest, I’d love a bonsai tree!

2. Homemade Dinner

It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or expensive. One time I made hamburgers stuffed with chevre and topped with bacon and avocados. Yum!

3. Pajama Grams

This is such a cute gift idea and almost every girl will love it! Just be sure to pick out a set that matches her personality.

What NOT to get:

  • Stuffed Animals – unless you’re in elementary school…then it’s age appropriate.
  • Electronics – Valentine’s Day is about romance: R-O-M-A-N-C-E!
  • A Ring – unless it’s an engagement ring.

Girls, any other suggestions?

I was just searching online for V-Day gift ideas for my girlfriend and this popped up. Great ideas, especially the bonzai tree. I’ll make sure to avoid the stuffed animals this year. Thanks.
