Always Right in White
September 22nd, 2009 | Posted by Queen BeeI had so much fun at DC Fashion Week’s International Couture Show and took way too many pictures for one post, so here is the first bunch!
The first collection was all in white. Who made up that silly “no white after Labor Day” rule anyway?
The style was boho rocker chic with short hemlines and fierce heels.
And a touch of elegance here and there.
But elegant doesn’t have to mean old-fashioned. Pair a sophisticated dress with some chic gladiator heels and you are young, fun, and good to go.
I’m absolutely in love with this preppy Gossip Girl inspired look. Is it not the cutest?
And at the other end of the fashion spectrum, I loved this t-shirt dress. How easy would it be to make this? All you have to do is cut holes in the shoulders and sleeves!
And, because fashion isn’t only about dresses, here are some sharp white pants. You’d have to be pretty brave to wear these in my opinion. I’m way too klutzy and would spill something on them before I even left the house!
What do you think about wearing white after Labor Day? Would you wear any of these outfits?

Wow! I love all those! So stunning.
I love especially how there are so many models of colour — almost 100% of Australian models are white, and so it’s great to see that.
Plus these models look a lot healthier than most catwalk models.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous~!
These are fantastic. Yes, I would wear white after Labor Day if they would be this fresh and stylish. I like the idea of regular size models for this collection as well. It will appeal to a larger audience of female. I Love it!
Aren’t the models beautiful? Before the show, they announced that they specifically looked for models of all shapes and colors to represent DC’s diversity.

Man, that T-shirt dress is so cool!
I would totally wear any of it, though.
