NYC Fashion Fun
June 29th, 2009 | Posted by Queen BeeI had an amazing 20 hours in NYC this weekend and while the boys moved my brother’s heavy boxes, I went off to do some exploring. The city really is the fashion capital of the country, if not the world. Even the tourists are fab.
I went into some little boutiques like G.C. Williams where I found these adorable sandals. Don’t you just love the ruffle?
Then I found a plethora of colorful summer dresses at Variazioni. I feel like this store was made just for me. Everything was so vibrant and fun.
I also found some cute headbands and accessories at Wink.
And of course I made my way over to Betsey Johnson. Ah, Betsey. You are always a joy!
While walking around, I happened upon Amercrombie & Fitch where their models were posing for pictures! So, of course I took one.
But my favorite find was the Off Broadway Boutique. This little shop contains one of a kind and vintage designer clothes.
The best part about this boutique is the owner, Ms. Lynn Dell. She is just fabulous and I definitely recommend stopping by to say hi.
So after a long day of exploring, I found this kitschy cute tea house called Alice’s Tea Cup where I had some tea and yummy snacks. This tea house is a must see!
As I went back to my brother’s new place, I passed by the movie set of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. I was too far away to see who was in the scene, but I think it might have been Alfred Molina. Here is a picture of one of the props from the film.
So all in all, New York was awesome and I can’t wait to go back!
What shops do you recommend visiting in NYC?

Oh wow, looks like you had a great time in NYC =)
i yelped when i saw Alice’s Tea Cup. i went there a few years ago and had a delicious red velvet cupcake, but i was never able to find the shop again after that. i thought maybe it wasn’t real…now i know it’s not a mythical place!
Wow wow wow!
I’m going to Sydney this week – which I think is a pretty sophisticated, fashionable city here in Aus – so hopefully I’ll take some photos there.
I wish I could go to NYC!
